PRAYER WALK IN ST. MICHAEL'S CHURCHYARD PRIOR TO COP26
Date:
24th October 2021
Time:
15:00
Description:
There will be a prayer walk, lasting 30 - 45 minutes, in St Michael's Churchyard at 3 pm on Sunday October 24 prior to COP 26. All are welcome.
The COP26 meeting in Glasgow at the start of November, at which international agreement will be sought on measures to mitigate the effects of climate change, is of major importance for the future of the planet and a successful outcome is vital for the future as we approach various climate “tipping points”. On the run-up to the meeting, we are organizing a prayer walk around the churchyard at 3.00 on Sunday October 24th which will use the plants, trees and monuments of that most beautiful of places to act as foci for our thoughts and prayers for the success of the conference. This will last about 30 to 45 minutes and is open to all, young and old, church goers and non-church goers alike (and will go ahead whatever the weather!).
