The group has met formally at 3 monthly intervals. During the year we have become more connected to the wider Palestine support community locally to the extent that we now meet formally together and by using social media to organise our activities
Protests at the Elbit factory in Shenstone have continued every week and a major silent march around the village has taken place recently. Rev Jo Thornton has been organising weekly prayer vigils outside the factory on Monday mornings.
We have had several pop up stalls in Lichfield City centre to provide information on the dire Gaza and Occupied west bank situation and mote recently persuading passers-by to sign a petition requesting Staffs County Council Pension Fund divest their investments from Israeli companies.
We continue to pressure our local MPs about the intolerable Palestine situation, weapons supply and the humanitarian aid supply in Gaza.
